 Singles night at the market

1987  Mishawaka, Indiana. Judy Bradford, Cathy Weaver, Clara Vandren, Clyde Hostetter, Franklin T, Wike, Jr., Mike Finnegan, George Schmidt; “Singles Night” at a local grocery store proved a success, as several thousand people were attracted by advertisements promising a good time.Country Market sponsored the event along with Special Singles, an Elkhart group founded by Clyde Hostetter's nephew, Franklin T. Wike Jr,  that conducts activities just for singles and encourages businesses, such as restaurants, to think of single people when planning programs or menus. WNSN-FM, “Sunny 101.5,” also was listed as a sponsor.


Special Lunch:

On An Airplane;  ANONYMOUS,Strangers Performing  acts of Kindness ; A variety of individuals stepped up and whispered and held out a hand, to help others, without being asked, or asking for recognition. 


The Black Telephone
