"I have an old studio photograph of Etta MILLER who was the wife of Alanzo MILLER. The name VOHREES is also written on the back of the photograph as if that might be Etta's maiden name. Based on limited research I believe that this is a photograph of Henrietta "Etta" VOORHES MILLER married to Alonzo M. MILLER and was able to gather the following information regarding Etta and her family:
Henrietta “Etta” VOORHES was b. 20 Sept 1882 in Adams Township, Muskingum County, OH to parents Samuel VOORHES (1828-1890) and Elisa or Eliza WARREN or WARNE (1858-1950) who were married in Guernsey County, OH on 15 Nov 1881. Etta was their only child. Ettamarried Alonzo Mills MILLER (1876-1955) and they had a daughter Gladys MILLER KIMBLE (1906-1953) and a son, Warren B. MILLER (1907-1964). Etta died 7 Jan 1919 in Coshocton, OH and is buried in the South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton, OH.
Her husband Alonzo Mills MILLER was b. 9 Aug 1876 in Wills Creek, OH and was married twice, first to Etta and after she died, he married Maude B. ALLEN (1879-1940). Alonzo died 12 May 1955 in Cambridge, OH and he is buried in the South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton, OH.
