By Kathryn Seiley

I met my cousin Ruth and her son, Bobby in Connecticut when I was 8 years old. We had gone to visit members of my Mother’s family and school friends during a Christmas vacation. In Vermont we stayed with my mothers sister, my Aunt Jeanne, and her family; and in Boston we visited friends, the SCHWAB family.

Family photos of this trip, and everything except the photos shown below have been lost, damaged, or otherwise destroyed, as are the family history and stories with them.

It is my hope that this request will reach cousins on the BATHO side of my family. The sir names will be SHERMAN, THAYER, BATHO, CROUCH, and HINKELBEIN. These photos show a close-knit group of people who shared their lives, and the lives of their loved ones together. It is my dream to locate and rekindle the closeness lost over the years.

These are all the maternal family photos I have of my great-grandparents, great-aunts, great-uncles, and 2nd cousins. I hope that some of my relatives will see these photos or that someone who knows them will pass the photos along and they will be saved for future generations.
