When a GENTLE_Man Loves a Lady with respect, dignity and honor

I was informed many years ago,  the full version, (as in all of the text that I will be displaying here on AmericanLegacies.org and my ftwjr.com  website) was used in a song that would be shared with women spending time in one or more shelters for abused and battered women and children.

I sincerely hope that it can help lift up their eyes and help them find good Christians that will treat them with the same type of love and respect that Jesus shared.

When a Gentle-man Loves a Lady

When a Gentleman Loves a Lady,

the way that I love you.

He doesn’t stare at her body,

instead, he concentrates on her face,

so that he can look deep into her eyes

in order to see all the love, admiration and beauty

that comes from the depths within.

When a Gentleman Loves a Lady,

the way that I love you.

He doesn’t ever touch her

in an angry or harmful way.

Instead he caresses her hands and face

with all of the gentle tenderness that a feather

would have as it lands upon a cloud.

When a Gentleman Loves a Lady,

the way that I love you.

He does not speak to her with contempt or control in his voice.

Instead, he compliments and praises her

and opens up his heart to share his innermost feelings

using the softest, kindest tone he can.

When a Gentleman Loves a Lady,

the way that I love you.

When he is not with her physically, he does not talk bad about her

and he doesn’t chase other women,

instead he will cherish her and honor her by thinking of her

with all of the respect and love that she deserves.

When a Gentleman Loves a Lady,

the way that I love you.

He doesn’t just tell her that he loves her,

he shows her, every minute of every day

through every action and every thought

just how much he loves her.

So, won’t you please remember

That real love does not hurt.

Instead it brings forth the greatest

joy and pleasure this world has to offer

especially when this gentleman

is in love with a lady like you.
