As I sit contemplating my research from last year, I can truly state that I had a very good year!! How about all of you??

When it comes to studying your families, it’s always good to have a goal for each year. That helps to keep you focused amidst all the sidelines you may venture into during your research. It’s very important to keep good, organized notes, so you don’t have to retrace your steps and make extra work for yourself.

This Fathers Day I would like to tell you a story of a man and his family whom I have known for many years.

My father, Howard (Howie) Stephenson idolized his older brother Harry whom everyone called Clark. The nickname stuck as a child while living on Clark Street in Chicago. As adults, the brothers fondly recanted such antics as shooting Christmas ornaments off the tree with new BB guns, while surviving their mothers wrath.

No matter what age, they are so much fun.

As they grow older they have their lives, yet.

They are our grandchildren and don’t forget.

Grandchildren know we are their friend,

And realize on us they can depend.

We help them in every way,

To prepare them for their big day.
